Welcome to another month of Visions of Horror that was created by a simple premise, do you trust your friends, a loved one to choose what horror movies to see, not base on a randomizer or recommendations rather just them deciding what to find for you to watch. Well, would you? I have that challenge occurring not only every month but every day, it’s how this column started and then expanded to a podcast in which I give shortened reviews of films. Therefore, let’s venture into a breakdown of the nightmarish which some were and the others pleasurable delights that I enjoyed. As is the new theme, and the friends and fiends staying true to the realm for the most part of anniversary flicks. A total of 35 movies were seen in 30 days with 3-days missed, and 3-television films included, of which one was not anniversary film, and it was seen on YouTube that was The Legend of Lizzie Borden [1975]. Then fitting the anniversary model 27 films were in that category hence 77%, with films noting their 50th, I am signaling them out since I turned 50 this year; they were The Legend of Hell House [1973], Cannibal Girls [1973], and The Loreley’s Grasp [1973]. Although, to be fair these are not the oldest films on this month’s list the top three were Captive Wild Woman [1943], Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein [1948], and The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms [1953] with each celebrating 80, 75, and 70- years, respectively.

The most popular decade was 1970 with 10-films followed by 1980s tallying 7-movies and only one re-watched flick on the list.
