Now this month resulted in just one film being revisited, and it was purely accidental, it was the start of the upcoming holiday weekend to honor of July 4th, so a lot of action films were gathered together from friend’s collection the series of Die Hard, then Rambo (1979), Patton (1970), Full Metal Jacket (1987), Platoon (1986), Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and so on it was wild selection; but then this film made an appearance.

American Backwoods: Slew Hampshire [2013]

Not Rated – 1h 43m

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1778906/

SUMMARY: In June of 1994, one of the most brutal mass slaughters in history occurred in the backwoods of northern New England. Four months later, history is about to repeat itself. The end of summer signals the brink of manhood for a group of lifelong friends who proudly call New Hampshire their home. But when they embark upon a local rite of passage – traveling north for one final weekend of debauchery together – it just might prove to be their final weekend PERIOD, as this rite is doomed to go frightfully wrong. When they find themselves ensnared in a struggle for survival amongst a sinister hunting party, a bloodthirsty tribe AND a mythical beast, what began as a comedy of errors devolves into an all-out Darwinian duel to the death, and less than 24 hours will pass before a slew of lives have been claimed and the last of the living remains.

WHEN I SAW IT DATE: In early 2016.

THE IMDB RATE AT TIME OF REV: 4.5/10

MY RATE THEN: 5.0/10

HAS MY VIEW CHANGE: Even though the rating now on the IMDb  is not 3.7 I still hold that this film is primarily for gorehounds, and lovers of the extremely weird productions, it is a sick and twisted flick, with an opening sequence for homage of slasher delights. The movie is directed to that core of viewers that find Cannibal Holocaust likeable and repeat viewings, therefore the appeal is niche, if demented compliments your nightmarish watching skills then here that unique production for you.

Everyone else avoid, needless to say the watching of this flick had a lot of folks clearing out of the film room.
