***The Extreme in Any Manner Leaves a Lasting Impression! *** – Baron Craze

Well folks, this is very late but for a very good reason, as many know I live in New Jersey, and with numerous regulations, rules, and procedures trying to accomplish worthwhile endeavors which can be difficult at times. Namely a late approval to proceed with a Multiple Sclerosis Fundraiser that took place on a major intersection. Now this isn’t easy, it’s as difficult as trying to organize multiple people on a zero budget film shoot scheduled for Saturday, and where one has to hope for great weather to be ultimately successful. Think of this way, you create a worthy script (i.e., an event project) you investigate legalities, permits because this is going to rely on publicly seen area, then to begin to assemble materials needed for the shoot (i.e., event). Namely you seek donations or contributions, since mine was for an official nonprofit Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, that helped greatly. Then it’s assemble the team, namely 35-people to agree to work shifts for the cause, for 6-hours, while as the director of it you are working nearly 12 hours, as to management and watch-over everything. So, in the end I had to shift all attention to the Coin-Toss Fundraiser and therefore had to stop focus on The Horror Times, however the owner and other writers all support our efforts on this matter, therefore June 10, was a glorious day! We almost achieved our goal; hence a secondary much smaller event was needed, and here you treat this pick-up shots, no paperwork, maybe a friendly hand, but regardless of the weather conditions you commit yourself to the task and roll credits.

Aside from that we all know were behind on writing projects on the site, but the podcasts are doing well, especially, our horror punk bands, and acquiring permission to play the music of over 150 bands for the Screaming Horror episodes, most-recently #18. Often, folks go through heartaches or headaches and state they suffered a train-wreck but refrain from that thought – too negative. Rather I am the mighty ghost galleon, sailing the seas, sometimes calm other times rough winds, wretched thrashing of the waves, hunted but many, given the choices to stay and fight or flee into the stormy seas. A ship can take on water and need to pump it out, it could sink, though careful planning can avoid that dilemma; but when your vessel is a ghost then for us its long shadows can reach land to torment others and our frigid grasp take hold generating nightmarish chaos for all who cross our uncarted path. A train wreck, it’s over, none of the railcars will ever rejoin or travel again. Therefore, I have set out a plan to carry us to the end of the year and will be pleased if we can do 25% of the goal. We will never be the site generates 90 reviews a month for film and more… But we have loyal readers – a humble thanks.

Some have contributed financially I’ve never asked but it’s nice to receive, thanks it was one dollar, for each of the past 12 months, $.04 cents a day (LOL) again a thanks. Also, in July we will start our giveaways so started looking for that, as for how to enter, well must be in the lower 48 states due to costs, and more details will be revealed in the next editor’s greetings.

This next item might appear strange, but bear with me, in  time when most folks are narrowing the footprint or taking advantage of streaming services, thereby no need to have physical media, I still purchase DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, LPs, Books, Comics, and vast amounts of movie Posters, I keep hold of a VCR and Blu-ray/DVD/4K Player, with a backup available, because yes the convenience of Streaming is nice, everything held in a cloud, assisting limited space less clutter you aren’t actually able to hold it in your hands. However, if those certain firms suddenly decide that you are charged a fee to access the cloud month, or they determine a very classic film is not politically correct they can edit  it or simply delete from their platform or your cloud vault. Hence your control is at their mercy and decide your viewing habits for you. One other aspect, with digital media there is nothing for ‘a star’ to sign so if seek signatures that’s going to be very problematic. So, a simple solution, keep your own collections in your personal possession.

Finally, for myself, well that is the same and am slowly returning. However, the big physical return will be in early 2024. In the meantime, I’ve been working on some projects and started some voice over work here and there. It’s with the help and support from my family, friends, and of course my horror supporters that I’m able to keep the eye on the ball and keep moving in the right direction.

Until next month – enjoy all the horror you can…. Be sure to scare the ones you love!
