Coming February 3rd…

Cromworx plays medieval Dungeon Synth. This album contains previously unreleased early keyboard attempts (he really calls them attempts!!) of the Orkrist keyboard player. Out of these compositions some songs were adapted for Crom’s primary band Orkrist (“Sword and Sorcery” – album “Reginae Mysterium” 2002 “The Fall of Gil-Galad” and “Grond” – album “Grond” 2003, “Where the Knights Sleep, Undying” – album “Artefacts of Life” 2020).

The songs from the original Cromworx set remained untouched for 22 years and were authentically recorded only in 2022, on a keyboard with 1.44″ floppy disc mechanism and no professional production in any studio. Apart from minor re-arrangements and a few added vocals the songs remain in their original form.

For us, the Cromworx debut album is easily one of the best medieval Dungeon Synth releases ever – varied and captivating, with beautiful melodies and sophisticated compositions that remind the listener of bygone times as well as fantasy settings and role-playing game soundtracks – a must have not only for fans of Fief, Pazuzu or Die Verbannten Kinder Evas. To be released as 6-panel DigiCD & MC in February 2023, and later in 2023 also on vinyl.

Fans of medieval Dungeon Synth should not miss this album, as it offers 52 beautiful and magic minutes of some of the best music in this genre!

Ser was the project that would eventually develop into the Depressive Black Metal cult act Sadness.

As the definitive highlight in the project’s history, “In Fade of Memories” is both an epic and monumental creation of Depressive Black Metal and Dark Ambient/Dungeon Synth as well as a very noteworthy release in the prolific artist’s entire discography. In his own words: “This is the most important album to me of everything I’ve done.”

When we came across the album several years ago, we were taken in completely by its immersive, overwhelming, and downright creepy atmosphere. To us it is the perfect soundtrack for dark and solitary nights in lost places.

Back then, we knew immediately that it had to be released on physical format, and that it should be done by Northern Silence. We secured permission from Self-inflicted Photography to use some of her breathtaking photos for the artwork and waited for the artist to finish the album in the way it was intended.

Now, several years later, we’re finally able to release this massive, almost three-hour masterpiece on CD. For us this is one of the best and most essential releases in the history of Depressive Black Metal/DSBM and not to be missed!

The 3-CD comes as Collector’s Edition in 6-panel Digisleeve, limited to 500 copies.

Skratte was founded as a solo-project by Hevnbrann in 2012 in order to materialize his musical vision.

Inspired by the coldness and brutality of Norwegian Black Metal as well as the characteristic versatility and harmonious playing of the French, Skratte combines the most diverse elements and motives in its distinct sounds.

While “Akt I” still had more of a classic, melodic Black Metal orientation with Folk elements, Hevnbrann allows “Akt II” to rise up against the boundaries of conventional Folk Black Metal, occasionally crossing them and merging furious Black Metal with epic male vocals, Gothic Rock reminiscences, monumental acoustic arrangements and melancholic violins into a totally unique soundscape that reaches out to listeners and then draws them in relentlessly.

Thematically, “Akt II” gives a voice to the nature spirits and accompanies them on an emotional journey that takes them ever onwards, struggling and striving against the turmoil of today’s world.

The CD comes as Collector’s Edition in 4-panel Digipack with 12-page booklet, limited to 500 copies, and as Special Collector’s Edition A5-DigiCD, limited to 100 copies.
