This shall be very insightful, even for myself, when this new column started, I knew it would be fun, and curious tracking of what I watch, however I knew early on that a curse loomed in the distance, the curse of October. As horror fans know, that this is incredibly tough month on us, so much to watch and do in a relative short period of time, nothing truly more difficult than watching all the horror films, especially now with VOD added to the mix. I knew that it was no easy feat, and therefore; a much-needed   meeting with the site owner, and here is the result and revelation of that meeting. First, understand that I have never officially counted the horror films I watched in October, secondly, I have friends choose movies which I likely never watch, but do so to please others. Now fans often watch more than one horror movie a day, but how many could one view in a single day well that’s very hard to say, if you use the basis of 90-minute for the average horror film, and zero sleep one could average 15 to 16 films a day, now factor in that for October 30 and 31, I am averaging 2 to 4 hours of sleep it’s a insane schedule. Another aspect is that I often watch some movies repeatedly, the old classics namely and others that I am saving for anniversary reviews, so an arrangement was worked out for them too.

I feel a bit of a breakdown is need, as the amount of movies is overwhelmingly amazing, 106 films are future anniversaries, while 42 were already reviewed in addition, when I watched The Pack [1977] I noticed a similarity to Cujo [1983] where a woman is trapped in a car and the one of the dogs is rabid trying to push its into the vehicle, a low-budget attacks attack movie, which reminded of the flick Dogs [1976] which proceeded the prior year. Needless to say, the list includes almost every subgenre in horror, and the films year range from 1896 (the first horror movie) to present, watching on numerous VOD platforms and DVDS, Blu-rays, even in the theater, and of course multiple cable networks.
