July proved to have a great natural high eyesight dramatically improved to the lowest lows, because as a heavy metal fan we lost the Prince of Darkness Ozzy, the legendary artist and hence on the 22nd, I took the time to first listen to a ton of music and that night watched Trick or Treat [1986]. Aside from that time as the month moved onward, and plenty viewed, in 31-days never taking any time off to see 35-movies, of which there 10-films previously reviewed celebrating anniversaries and the decade of the 2000s wins with having the most films of seven. If one views the list, they likely see some dreadful titles but one takes the ultimate embarrassment Werewolf with rating of 1.7 yet near the top to standouts The Return of the Living Dead [1985] and Jaws [1975], respectfully honoring the 3rd and 4th of July as they occur on those dates in the film. A few movies are celebrating some special anniversaries The Quatermass Xperiment [1955] their 70th and the classic William Castle’s 13 Ghosts [1960] its 65th, I will always remember the closeout scene involving Margaret Hamilton (passed on 5/16/85) who gives a knowing glance to the camera while holding a broom breaking the 4th wall of acting, in the movie she is referred to as a witch, this film was after Wizard of Oz (1939) which was not as popular as it is today. Did she know something we didn’t?
