There’s no better way to start the month of April that with the classic April Fool’s Day movie from 1986; while one knows the trick plot after the first time it is still fun to watch. It was a so-so month, in 30 days I watched just 25 films, excessive amount of medical leave. However, what was seen was still very interesting, as only three previous films were reviewed beforehand, and by the month’s end I had the pleasure of watching all 13-episodes of Hammer House of Horrors which only lasted one season. I recalled the film Metamorphosis from the video store days; the cover was a plastic mode that when depressed the lights would light-up a curious gimmick. Nevertheless, two films tied for the oldest on the list Mark of the Vampire and Bride of Frankenstein both from 1935 and hence celebrating 90th! Oh, the 1980s finally achieved the most popular decade this year with just a mere seven flicks.
