***The Extreme in Any Manner Leaves a Lasting Impression! *** – Baron Craze
Well, greetings horror fans and fiends, yes finally a new greeting, things have not gone exactly according to plan that was designed in December 2024. So, I cannot dwell on the past and must look to the future therefore, I am continuing on despite some medical issues and I’m no longer letting them stop me. Now on the positive side, The Horror Times is returning to full strength. We have Vincent back on-aboard writing the hard rock reviews and possibly Vix is going to write simple reviews in the realm of erotic horror thrillers but not exploitation and of course we have 3C who writes when she can.
Last month, when mega superstar Ozzy the crown Prince of Darkness was doing his farewell concert on July 5th, we here at Shredding Metal Beasts created and launched a 9-hour three-part show to honor him filled with cover tracks that tallied over 100 songs. These shows are found here: ONE, TWO, THREE! Sadly, we all lost our hero, many have speculated what happened, I knew someone close who had the terrible Parkinson’s disease, I felt in my gut, that to do the show Ozzy had to stop all lot of other meds, so he could sing because those drugs often effected the vocals, he had to endure the pain and suffering through countless days. In hindsight perhaps the concert should have happened one year earlier. His legacy and music shall live on and so shall metal music
Well, it is August, so you know what that means CHOMPFEST happens the last week of the month and this year you all get a bonus day yep – 24th to 31st – 8-days – which means eight films involving terrorizing teeth that enjoy chomping on flesh.
Three things I suppose that inspired me to get off my ass, aside from having my vision fully restored, I found a very good doctor who saw past the gloom and helped. First, Ozzy, what endured to carry his final mission, inspired me to bring the site back from the brink. Second, the negativity from PT states why is the site even needed, just ask AI; it pissed me off their job is to help me to return to a baseline, not instill doom. As for AI it still won’t be used here, we support creativity of individuals – artists – and once again I beat another version of it. Thirdly and most important, having comments and support from you the readers of our beloved site, the view counts and just asking questions on the genre itself, to that I say Thanks… and remember the horror-movie rules but do not yell out ‘hello’ as it never turns out well. Enjoy this month’s issue and always indulge in your love for the beloved horror genre.
