Another month has sped into the past, time truly flies when enjoying both life and a bounty of horror flicks, some are pure pleasure while others a sheer nightmare. The month of June is always significant as it marks the halfway pint of the year and prepares many to prepare for a change of season; namely in United States it is time for summer and that means fast approaching shark week. Anyway, let’s recap the month, in 30-days I only missed one day but fret not as 41 movies were seen; with these two movies celebrating their 80^th and 70^th celebrations respectively Arsenic & Old Lace [1944] and Them! [1954]. Now some likely to state the first name there is no way a horror film, which is true but it does some early tropes of the genre, such as occurring on Halloween, a house next to cemetery, numerous murders committed by a duo of grannies and one misguided lunacy driven relative; then add-in another visiting murderer as well as creepy doctor and it fits many horror film plots. The list had films from almost every subgenre in the horror realm, and that is the best result one ever wants to see. Meanwhile, a few other interesting tidbits the most popular decade was 2010s, with nine films among them; the year of 2014 having quite a few flicks, then followed by 1980s with eight movies and three television-movies.
