Once again recapping on February another interesting selection of films chosen for me to watch, some were terrific others lackluster, and is now customary the list includes those previously watched anniversary films (seven of them) that shall be discuss in our Revisiting Part Horrors column, in which I look at old reviews seeing if they are still correct. Also note that there are six Television Movies (TV Movies) and one TV Series, Kolchak. The movies spun through the subgenres with a little of everything to explore from zombies to ghosts, slashers galore and horror comedies, even the annual viewing of My Bloody Valentine [1981]. Now for a deeper dive into the numbers, in 29 days saw 36-films, with Thursday the 22nd having three flicks on it. The two oldest movies on the list celebrating 80^th-anniversaries were Alfred Hitchcock’s Lifeboat [1944] and Voodoo Man [1944], Alfred’s film is not horror movie, and not without controversary but his techniques of then translated into Rear Window [1954] and have since been used by numerous filmmakers in other single isolated locations exacting impending doom, gloom and psychological torments. One must not omit the incredible fan favorite Creature from the Black Lagoon [1954].
