***The Extreme in Any Manner Leaves a Lasting Impression! *** – Baron Craze
Greetings Horror Friends, welcome to 2024, as you can see we have posted a lot of new reviews which I’m excited about however there will be a pause for a couple of weeks due to my computer having issues with its sound and drivers missing. So, I took it to be repaired which will take a week or so. Don’t worry I’ll be back especially with my podcasts which everyone seems to love, and the reviews will be coming out more frequently at the end of the month or into February.
I think everyone strives in the early portion of the new year to evaluate the past year and try to determine how to improve the new year, seeking to obtain goals, reviewing the failures or seek new lofty heights, all of benchmarks and to-do lists. We here at The Horror Times are no different except we started that process in December, as I took the positives and negatives and shall seek improvements, the site turns 7-years old in October but this month Baron’s Crypt returns to mark its 10-year anniversary – this show will be delayed as of the time of writing this greeting.
One thing I have noticed is many sites of reviewers both on YouTube and blogs, WordPress included have vanished, whether due to costs or censorship fears to violations of terms of service (supposedly) well that partially occurred to me last month/year however we have a couple of pending solutions to resolve the matter. In other horror news, the first month of new movies for Visions of Horror was submitted to me, a few variations and for those unaware the uniqueness of this column/ podcast is a simple question would you allow friends, and even strangers those that followers of yours on Instagram/ Facebook/ X or your site choose what film you saw on that given day? Are you willing to take that challenge?
I know so many are looking to all the new horrors unleashing 2024, the new creativity taking advantage of the talents and streaming platforms and YouTube channels, myself included, therefore remember to support each other’s creativities, assist your fellow artists whether it’s merely watching a film or purchasing their art in the form of music, books, paintings, or sculptures. Just to note in 10 days during December 2023, I created over 10 podcasts a sample of what is planned for 2024 as all the podcast adventures, EIGHT shows will continue onward and always seek guests, worldwide as well as helping filmmakers with their projects with our numerous unique McGuffin props.
Many sites take the time at year-end to do a remembrance review or In Memoriam but always know that we do the monthly Remembrance of the Dead, centered solely on the Horror Genre, whereas the ‘Hollywood’ will primarily overlook anyone who contribute to our beloved genre as an insignificant blimp. Please always take the time to review those lists.
