Editor’s Greeting for March 2023

***The Extreme in Any Manner Leaves a Lasting Impression! *** – Baron Craze

Greetings to all the fanatics and fans of the horror genre I do hope that this year is delivering you plenty of screams, terrors and nightmares fulfilling your cravings for more delights well tantalizing your desire for more curious wonderments in this year of 2023.

However, let’s begin with a little recap of how the hard time this site is going along first January didn’t exactly play out according to plan and February did get a little bit better with more news sources for both film and music and the reviews were a smattering of what we really wanted. The reason for this to be straightforward with our readers is that an overlays back to a medical issue that I had in July of 2022, which is still lingering into this day. Nevertheless, working with our team here of friends and volunteers we came up with a solution it’s one that’s going to take a little time to explain and at the same point for me to learn how to use it is voice to text. Therefore, the first review I did under this new technique is called 616: the Paranormal Incident, when you read this review we did put a note at the top of that it’s a little rough and a little haphazardly done that is because as I talk, I have to learn where to insert a ‘period’ and how to get my thought process to center correctly. It is so easy to have run on sentences, sidetrack thoughts, and not speak in a precise clear manner a true new education. The second review I did was call Frightmare this time around everything got smoother it’s still a learning process but as this continues along just like this Greetings I am learning how to work with the program, I hope that I can eventually return to my normal style of typing on my keyboard. I am still the editor and even with this new format as always, I’m required to fix all the grammar and the spelling issues, it is a fun little trip I’m on but one that I’m embracing. This is similar to just any other writer out there we type first and then we have to go back and sort out our thoughts and then return to it once again to work on our spelling issues our grammar and make sure it hasn’t even flow, I used to do this well just writing it the first time through but now it’s a journey.

Near the end of March there is New Jersey Horror con and Film Festival occurring in Atlantic City New Jersey unfortunately I will be unable to attend this year this is because I have a surgery scheduled a day before the con actually starts. It would be foolish for me to attend the event therefore due to this ongoing procedure I’ve had to rearrange some of my plans for 2023 as physical therapy will be in the forefront so I can return to effectively do my job at the Con and other places of interest. You will read in this issue about the September 2022 con that I attended and had the pleasure of meeting with Lloyd Kaufman among others frankly the reason this wasn’t done much earlier was because again of numerous medical issues that were sidelining to me in many ways. Although it should be noted that while not attending the con that’s happening in 2023, I will be writing the promo article for one in March, and there will be a promo podcast on prior to the event taking place.

I would like to humbly thank everyone who has graciously sent me support emails, texts and got the word out about our wonderful site we’ve achieved 4,800 followers on Facebook for The Horror Times. The owner supports this new endeavor of how that I’m going to be writing reviews therefore we hope to have righted the ship and allow our ghost galleon to sail out of this fog of confusion and bring upon more spooky developments for you all to enjoy.
