I’ve never done this before for any review, however for those in a sensitive area, this is a NSFW work due the song titles and artwork.
When I first saw the perverse artwork and then to the track listing for this EP I was sold, and in fact, I have permission to play the band’s music it quickly appeared on my infamous podcast show Sinister Death. They, Weregoat, is a thoroughly intensely sounding black and death metal band, which deliver true heaviness and sheer rawness in their music, however with a solid production value. This album is not of demo material which often in the subgenres loses a lot to quality, it has incredible locals, and a blackened delivery, hence The Devil’s Lust released by Iron Bonehead Productions and in conjunction with Parasitic Records, does tick in under 23-minutes for just six tracks but makes sure to throttle the listener into an evil whirlwind. While most who follow the black metal genre intensely are aware of Weregoat’s existence, though history dates back to 2009, their debut release likely achieve a major impact in 2017 with ‘Pestilential Rites of Infernal Fornication’ it is understood and accepted by the fan bases and sometimes might have to wait for new sinister conjuring to emerge for the quality and time for them.
The music is dominated with a more insane manner, complete with preserve and frankly bestial effects from animalistic founding, as if honing demonic forces to expel from mouths and fingertips. There’s not one moment the music is speeding through, Nocturnal Helfuker’s, lead vocalist continues the assault with ferocious madness style, without any regard for anyone’s feelings, excelling in true metal fashion. The intensity of the drums is presented quickly thanks to Sadoseducer and Lecherous Agressor has riffs echoing with thrash influences especially on that opening song of “Tempter! Abuser! Satan Her Master” which all rides with a hungry horde of demonic crushing death.

One of course, can’t overlook the artwork (which was a bit controversy for this site to censor or not, we choose the latter, as it is art and not photography or an explicit image); created by Rok of Sadistik Exekution. You’ll see (shown at the bottom of the review) a naked woman, being impaled, and penetrated by a demonic skeleton in a moment of ecstasy, writhing in her blood. Weregoat, blazes their own left-handed path of maniacal creations, though a hint of early Sepultura escapes briefly, they primarily stay true to their devilish design.
